From Passion to Petals: The Story Behind The Wild Stem Studio

Hello, I’m Terri – the face (and hands!) behind The Wild Stem Studio, a local florist studio born.

I’ve always had a passion for flowers. There’s something incredibly grounding and joyful about working with nature’s beauty — the textures, the colours, the movement. For years, life kept me busy, and like many women, I put my passions on hold while taking care of everything else. But going through the menopause gave me a wake-up call. It was a time of reflection and honesty — and I asked myself, “What do I really love? What would make me feel alive again?” The answer was simple: flowers.

And that’s how The Wild Stem Studio was born.

This isn’t just a flower business. It’s a creative expression. Every arrangement I create is bespoke, thoughtfully put together with a touch of wild beauty and a lot of heart. I like to think that my personality shines through each bouquet — a little unexpected, a little luxurious, and always personal.

What sets The Wild Stem apart is that I don’t follow the traditional florist formula. I believe in flowers with soul — unique combinations, rich textures, and a flair that’s completely one-of-a-kind. Whether it’s for a wedding, a special occasion, or just because, I want people to feel something when they receive flowers from me.

I’m proud to run a studio that’s rooted in passion, creativity, and a bit of rebellion against the ordinary. It’s never too late to do what you love — and this is what I love.
