A little bit about me as I’ve had quite a few new followers

Hello, I’m Terri — the heart behind The Wild Stem Studio, based in Northamptonshire.

I’m a proud mum of two wonderful sons and a very lucky grandmother to one gorgeous grandson. When my children were young, I had the joy of staying home with them — something I’ll always treasure. Once they were older and more independent, I wanted to find my own path again and return to work in a way that felt meaningful.

For over 15 years, I worked as a hairdresser — a career that allowed me to express creativity, meet amazing people, and bring a little happiness into their day. Alongside that, I was also deeply involved in my husband’s business. I supported him in many areas, helping it to grow and thrive over the years. That experience gave me a real understanding of what it takes to build something from the ground up, and how much dedication, care, and teamwork go into making a business succeed.

As time went on, and during the changes that came with menopause, I began reflecting on what truly made me happy. That reflection brought me back to something I’ve always loved — flowers. My home has always been filled with them; I’ve never been able to resist bringing nature indoors, and it always lifts my spirits.

So, I decided to follow that passion and retrain in floristry, completing formal qualifications to build my skills and confidence. That decision changed everything. It gave me a new sense of purpose, and before long, The Wild Stem Studio was born — a creative space where I could pour my heart into designing natural, thoughtful floral arrangements for people across Wellingborough, Irthlingborough, Rushden, Higham Ferrers, and the wider Northamptonshire area.

Now, every day, I get to do what I love most: working with beautiful flowers, connecting with people, and helping them express life’s most meaningful moments through nature’s colours and textures.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll find me spending time with my family, enjoying simple days with my animals, or exploring the countryside for inspiration.

For me, The Wild Stem Studio isn’t just a business — it’s a reflection of my journey, my family, and the joy that comes from finally following your heart.
